Week 65 - Another Incredible Week

Hola!

Welp, it's been another incredible week down here.I cannot say enough how much I love my mission :)

It has been warming up, and let me just say, that losing our car this last week because of the influx of sisters has been kicking my tush! Literally, after riding my bike for probably 5-10 miles a day, things get a little sore.. It is great though! I am thoroughly enjoying the exercise, and I know that heavenly father is blessing us because of the work that we are putting in to serving in this area, and many miracles are happening because of the faithfulness of this ward :) It is a powerful testimony builder to see the prayers and fasting of many others come to life in missionary work! Anytime I start to get tired or complaining out there in the heat, I just have to silently remind myself of all the incredible sacrifices that have been made in order for me to be where I am today.

Jesus Christ.
The early christian church.
the reformation.
mormon pioneers.
my personal family.

even sacrifices I have made myself, though they are small compared to those I have already mentioned.

I will continue on, for now it is my turn! :) I am, after all a "light of the world". and we all are. whether we are on a mission, in high school, or empty nesters. So make it shine, that others may feel the love of god. Be the example that leads others to become incredible.

Let the lower lights be burning!
Send a gleam across the wave!
Some poor fainting, struggling seaman
You may rescue, you may save.

We are a part of the most incredible work in the world. Pray for the missionaries. Pray for me. Pray that we will be able to find those who are ready to hear the gospel!

I love my mission!

p.s. Sorry I have not been able to write everyone for a while. I have been super busy, and completely exhausted after riding in the heat all day. I oftentimes fall asleep before I even think of writing anyone. I promise I will get some letters out soon though. Thank you everyone for the support, packages, and prayers. I am doing well.

yes alisa and mom I got your packages. Thank you so much.

I love you all!

Week 62 - A Jolly Good Week

welp, it's been a jolly good week. what an Incredible conference we had. It constantly amazes me, even down here in texas to see, and therefore know that there are such incredibly faithful members of the church everywhere in the world! I love my mission! Isaiah said it perfectly!

"And he will lift up an ensign to the nations from far, and will hiss unto them from the end of the earth: and, behold, they shall come with speed swiftly: None shall be weary nor stumble among them; none shall slumber nor sleep; neither shall the girdle of their loins be loosed, nor the latchet of their shoes be broken: Whose arrows are sharp, and all their bows bent, their horses’ hoofs shall be counted like flint, and their wheels like a whirlwind: Their roaring shall be like a lion..."

coupled with modern revelation:

"And ye are called to bring to pass the gathering of mine elect; for mine elect hear my voice and harden not their hearts."

We are a "peculiar people".

Texas is awesome... probably though just because I am a missionary; I'm not sure that I could love this place if I wasn't :) it's a little too sweaty.

All is well though. I love you. My prayers are yours! and please pray for me! I have such a testimony that most of the miracles I have seen have came not because of my faith, but because of those that pray for me! Thank you!

I look forward to another week in paradise!

Week 61 - April Fool's

This week has been incredible. I love and have loved my mission so much. I have seen so many miracles as the Gospel changes people's lives. I have a testimony that will not ever be shook!

The church is true. I will never forget it.

Unfortunately though, this week has taken a serious turn that has resulted in my mission being ended a few months early.. The details are unimportant, but just know that at the end of this transfer I'll be released as a missionary, and left to return to whatever I was doing. President Pingree said he will call ya'll in a few days to setup the details.. It is a great disappointment, I know, but it is what it is. I'm sorry.

For the next three weeks though, I'll continue writing letters and finish my mission off strong...

Hope ya'll have a great week. I love you guys...

p.s. don't forget what day it is. I'll see ya'll in 10 months.

p.p.s the picture was last specialized training. I just couldnt keep the chicas away from me. haha. just kidding. seriously. well kind of. not really. but actually no. they are the only missionaries from this zone that I know, so they are my only friends :)
