It has been another incredible week. Elder Mortimer and I have seen many incredible miracles.
We took tuck to the Houston Temple this week:
And we had a most incredible experience. The spirit was so strong.
Helaman 5:30 - "And it came to pass when they heard this voice, and beheld that it was not a voice of thunder, neither was it a voice of a great tumultuous noise, but behold, it was a still voice of perfect mildness, as if it had been a whisper, and it did pierce even to the very soul"
From that lesson, and the other things he has learned from the scriptures and through the spirit, as we have been teaching him, he has completely changed from the Tuck that we found a few weeks ago. He is a new man, and you can see the light in his eyes. The light of happiness. He has finally found what he has been looking for...
This sunday we asked him in Gospel Principles to say the closing prayer, and all he could utter was the simple phrase, "Dear father, thank you for finally leading me back home", before everyone in the room began to cry due to the incredible spirit that was present..
I think much of the confusion in the world comes from just simply not understanding: who we are, who we have always been, and who we will always be.
We have always been a part of God's family. We are his children. We are brothers and sisters of God's family. If we could but better grasp that concept, I am convinced that we could be one hundred times the disciple, friend, and person that we are today...
Throughout my mission, I have received a powerful testimony of the way that God will change hearts if we will but let him. Tuck is a perfect example of that.
In two weeks I have seen a man change from being a swearing, drinking, dark person to a spirit filled, humble hearted, Son of God.
Is there any more powerful miracle than that?
I know that there are people in the world, waiting for you to make the difference in their life. Don't get caught up and miss the opportunity to be where God needs you to be and doing what God needs you to do. Go today and share with others the most incredible message in the world.
That God is our father. The our Savior, Jesus Christ, lives. That they both love us. And that their church has been restored to the earth today.
That is my testimony.
Here are some fun pictures from the week.
